Please, include in the email:
1. Industry speakers (ie. publishers, agents, podcasters, directors, etc.)
• Your CV
• A short description of your proposed talk
* Material must be relevant to the writing industry (eg. share potential job opportunities or open calls, lived experience in your specialty, etc.)
2. Performing artists (ie. poets, musicians, dancers, visual artists, video submissions)
• A sample of your work (max. 5 minutes)
• Performance must be related to the theme: “SILENCE”.
Speaking/performing time: ~5mins
The deadline is on March 9, 2026, at midnight

Theme: Silence
Word Count: 1,200 words/2 poems/ and 3 artworks
Genre: We are looking for both fiction and nonfiction pieces in all formats – short stories, memoirs, poetry, journalistic articles, flash fiction/nonfiction, visual art to pair with your work, cover art, think pieces, etc.

Submission Process: Submissions should be sent via email to wellsstreetjournaleditorial@gmail.com with the subject line: “Wells Street Journal Submission – Issue 25 – [Your Name].”
Please submit no more than 1,200 words of prose or drama or a maximum of two poems.
You may also submit up to 3 artworks for consideration.
Attach your submission as either a Word document or PDF file only. Any artwork must be submitted in PNG or TIFF. In the body of the email, please include your full name, contact information, and a brief author bio (50 words or fewer).
Submission Deadline: 9th of February, 2026
Selection Process: Submissions will be reviewed by our managerial team. We are looking for well-crafted, resonant pieces that effectively incorporate the theme of “silence.” Selected authors will be notified via email. If your piece is shortlisted, our editorial team will collaborate with you to refine and polish it. We’ll send back edited drafts for your review and approval.
Publication Rights: By submitting your work to the Wells Street Journal, you grant us the right to publish your story in the specified issue and use excerpts for promotional purposes on our website and social media platforms.
